Ordination Service
In the Assemblies of God of Ceylon , there are three official ranks of the ministers. The first is the Assistant Minister (AM), the second is the Licensed Minister (LM) and finally the highest is the Ordained Minister (OM).
Generally, a minister who enters the priesthood as an Assistant Minister will take a minimum of 5 years of active ministry to be ordained. In addition, he should receive sound training at a recognized Bible College in learning God’s Word and Theology. It should also be noted that only an Ordained Minister has the right to hold positions of authority and to solemnize marriages in the Assemblies of God.
